The Bisaroques volcano, although the smallest of the four volcanoes that surround the city of Olot, is just as fascinating as the rest. Its horseshoe-shaped crater gives it a unique appearance.
As you walk, you’ll be able to appreciate the rich variety of colours of the basaltic rock. The Les Tries fountain, a historic local gathering point that dates back as far as time can tell, forms part of the route. In 1860, two doctors, Urgellès and Ronquillo, analysed the water from the fountain and determined that it was ideal for patients with kidney or stomach problems. It takes about two and a half hours to complete the route, but it is a wonderful experience!
