Olot is just over an hour from Barcelona along the C-17 until Vic, and then along the C-37 (heading towards Vic-Olot via the Bracons Tunnel). By bus, TEISA runs coaches from Barcelona, Vic, Girona, Figueres and Ripoll to its station in Olot, and there is also a taxi rank in the city. Olot is 66 km from Girona-Costa Brava airport and about 122 km from the airport of Barcelona El Prat.

From Barcelona: Take the C-17 until Vic and continue onto the C-37 (Vic-Olot via the Bracons Tunnel).
From the centre of Spain: Take the A2 to Cervera and continue onto the C-25 until Vic. Take the C-17, and then the C-37 to Olot via the Bracons Tunnel.
From the rest of Europe: Take the A-9 and AP-7 motorways to Figueres Sud, continue onto the C-26 and N-260 to Besalú and then take the A-26 trunk road to Olot.

Getting to Olot: take the lines from Barcelona, Figueres, Ripoll, Vic and other local towns offered by the company TEISA.
Getting around the Garrotxa area: on weekdays, there is a cross-regional service (TEISA’s Bus Transversal de la Garrotxa - BTG) that runs between Besalú and Les Planes d'Hostoles.
To get around Olot city, from Monday-Saturday, you can use TEISA’s Transports Públics d'Olot (TPO).

The Les Preses - Olot - Santa Pau Rumbus line is also a great way to get the most out of your visit to la Garrotxa and its Natural Park. Its operating dates, timetables and prices can be found at www.rumbusgarrotxa.cat
La Garrotxa is not accessible by train.
Although Vic train station is the closest to la Garrotxa, the largest and most well-connected station is that of Girona. Just next to it is also the bus station which also runs services to Olot.
From Figueres there are also some bus connections available. Girona and Figueres train stations are served by mid-, long-distance and high-speed trains hailing from such locations as Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, Toulouse and Marseille.
You can also take a train to Torelló or Ripoll, from where there are buses to Olot, although these do not run frequently.
Girona-Costa Brava Airport: located about 66 km from Olot. There is a shuttle service from the airport to Girona bus station, from where you can take a TEISA bus to la Garrotxa.
El Prat Airport (Barcelona): located about 122 km from Olot. You can take the train or Aerobús (the official airport-city shuttle bus) to Barcelona city centre, from where you can catch a TEISA bus to la Garrotxa.
