A stroll through the old town of Santa Pau allows visitors to see its unique buildings and, from the eastern part of the town, splendid panoramic views over the Ser valley: On a clear day you can see the Gulf of Roses and the sea from the Portal del Mar viewpoint.

In order to improve accessibility to the old town, two new ramps and a new section of railings have been installed along the alleyways that are around the castle and the arcade square, to facilitate access to pedestrians with reduced mobility.
