Aligned between the volcanoes of Garrinada and Montolivet, the Montsacopa has a circular crater produced by an explosive strombolic eruption some 100,000 years ago. Declared Natural Reserve of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of the Garrotxa, is fully integrated into the urban core of the city. The church of Sant Francesc and the two watchtowers, above the crater, make Montsacopa a place of incomparable landscaping beauty. Its nudity and the exceptional location have made it a magnificent viewpoint in the city of Olot, much of the volcanic area and Alta Garrotxa and even the closest peaks of the Pyrenees.

Access: It is recommended to access it on foot from the tourist office of Olot (35 min). It is an itinerary that consists of two very different parts: first a tour of the historical quarter of the city, and then the own climb, about 100 meters of altitude, to the crater of the volcano. Another option is to access it from the parking of the cemetery of Olot (25 min.).
