Itinerànnia network is over 2,500 km of footpaths has been created to Ripollès, the Garrotxa ial'Alt Empordà: the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean. You can use old historic roads, see the high mountains, Romanesque chapels, volcanoes asleep, medieval villages, coastal wetlands ...
ITINERÀNNIA IN GARROTXA
The Garrotxa Itinerànnia has more than 700 km of marked trails, from the Alta Garrotxa the valley Hostoles from Collsacabra to Besalú. Traditional ways, old cattle trails, paths of mass ... Eight roads Itinerànnia in and out to different parts of the city of Olot in all directions.
Yellow is the color of the signals of the network Itinerànnia. Should follow the yellow rectangles. ITINERARIES BY NATURAL PARK OF THE VOLCANIC AREA OF THE GARROTXA
The volcanic area of Garrotxa is the best example of volcanic landscape of the Iberian Peninsula. Have a quarantine of volcanic cones and more than 20 castings of basaltic lavas. The terrain, soil and climate provide a varied vegetation, often lush with oak groves, oak and beech forests of exceptional landscape value.
The Natural Park of the Volcanic Area of the Garrotxa is made with local councils and organizations of the municipalities that make up a set of 28 walking routes so you can see the most interesting parts of the Natural Park. The itineraries can be short (half hour) or long (4 to 7 pm). Most are marked, except some of the longest, with the help of map-guide of Nature, if you're used to hiking, that's enough to keep them.

ROUTE 17 Park volcanic area of la Garrotxa

Montsacopa the volcano is a volcano-type estrombolià. ROUTE 3 Park volcanic area of la Garrotxa
The route starts from the station bus Olot resseguint Fluvià the river until you reach the bridge the more. Cross the river to catch the direction of the Fageda in Jordan. Walk in the beech forest until reaching the area of Santa Margarita where we find indicators for the volcano of Santa Margarida (red route No. 1) and the volcano of Croscat (green route number 15).
