    October-June: 10.00-14.00 and 16.00-18.00 (Monday to Saturday); 10.00-14.00 (Sunday).
    July-September:     10.00-14.00 and 16.00-19.00 (Monday to Saturday); 10.00-14.00 (Sunday).
    Days closed: Santa Rita (22 May); 8 September (Mare de Déu del Tura), 11 September (National Day of Catalonia); 24, 25 and 26 December; 1 and 6 January

  • 6. Can you visit the volcanoes by car?

    The volcanoes that are most accessible by car in La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park are Montsacopa (Olot), Santa Margarida (Santa Pau) and Croscat (Santa Pau). All have a free car-park at the start of the footpath, which is the only access up or into the volcanoes.

    La Fageda d’en Jordà està situada a 4 quilòmetres d’Olot, direcció Santa Pau (carretera GI-524).   • 11. Can you get to the Fageda d'en Jordā by public transport?

    The Olot-Santa Pau bus only operates Monday-Friday (not public holidays). More information at: www.teisa-bus.com
    At the weekend you can only reach the beechwood on foot, by bike, by car or by taxi.

  • 12. Where do the horse and carts in the Fageda d’en Jordā start from?

     

    They leave from the car-park at the Fageda d’en Jordà (4 kilometres from Olot on road to Santa Pau, GI-524).

    The giants only dance twice a year, once at Corpus Christi (May) and then in the festivities of El Tura (September).
