WHAT ARE THE GREENWAYS?

The greenways are roads passing just for cyclists and pedestrians. The slope generally does not exceed 3%, which makes them accessible to the majority of the public.
Go to find the historical background of such a greenways network that Carrilet configured communication between peoples of the Girona.
The path that connects carrilet Olot and Girona (54 km.) By the river valleys Fluvià, and Ter Brugent, following the ancient route of the train that made the last trip in 1969, up to Girona and to Sant Feliu de Guixols (39.6 km). Almost 94 km of cycle route from the sea Garrotxa.

ROUTE CARRILET (Olot - Girona - Sant Feliu de Guíxols)

Track Carrilet crosses of great importance to landscape, ecological and cultural. Starts in the city, the sources of San Roque and resseguint the route of the old narrow gauge train, on foot or by bicycle, through the Natural Park of Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and reaching the Salt meadows and Girona, where you can link to the greenway that leads to the sea, in Sant Feliu de Guixols.

This stretch of 54 kilometers across three regions and twelve towns and go where the rivers Fluvià, and Brugent Ter. The route joins smooth slope from the site of departure, Olot (440 m) until the arrival (Girona 70 m), and has its highest point of the pass in Bas at 558 meters sea.

From Olot there is a link to San Juan de las Abadesas to Track Ferro to Ripoll.

ROUTE OF IRON AND COAL (Ripoll- Sant Jjoan de les Abadesses- Ogassa)

From Ripoll take Route Iron and Coal (12km) to the San Juan Abadesas.
From San Juan Abadesas the road is not finished, but the Consortium of Greenways proposes a link on a road (N-260) shared with the few vehicles that are still circulating.

OTHER ROUTES BY BICYCLE

Beck Riudaura allows us to take the bike and go your way of deep beauty.
From the valley Riudaura a view of the volcano Montsacopa is very slow, and the houses of farmers and villages of the Eloi Ca, the Ca and the Coromina Andreu, to evoke the past.

Note: We do not recommend this route in rainy days because of the difficulty that would cross the stream Riudaura.
